Increasingly, Production Companies and Creative Agencies feel the need for a sound that is protagonist in their projects. The professionals (and the audience too) are tired with libraries, which sound all the same and without character. Companies and Agencies are tired of paying royalties for a mainstream song, when, with the same budget, they may have something created specifically. This is why the figure of the Sound Designer becomes essential: their contribution is the extra color to a project.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

This workshop turns to focus on the growing importance of the sound and the figure of the Sound Designer.

Through this course, you will learn how to become a professional Sound Designer, how to empathize and to design the meanings of a video, of an image, of a shade, with the right sound.

People, freelancers, Video Makers, musicians, creative minds, whoever wants to achieve a good knowledge of Sound Design for advertising, Motion Design, movie or personal projects.

STYLE

An intensive workshop with a predominantly practical approach. The participants will realize their own sound projects, starting from tracks that will be recorded during the workshop. All the sounds will be made by the students. It will not be used any sound library. The students will create the sound projects on video footage provided by the teacher.

REQUIREMENTS

Participants will come away with two Sound Design and Audio projects that can be included in their personal portfolio or upcoming works.

There is no required competence. The course is based on Ableton Live software. The participants need to bring along:
• Laptop (Mac/Pc);
• Headphone;
